A classic low-slung Craftsman Bungalow with modern-configured interior living spaces and amenities. Based on the Classic 'Sears Craftsman' design, this house maintains the charms of a traditional bungalow while providing the updated living spaces our modern lives demand. Based on the 'not so big' house principles, this plan accommodates a family with 2-4 children comfortably, and is at home while fitting into either a tight city lot - or stretching out on a bigger parcel.
Notice the up-front study and dining spaces, the mudroom/powder bath/laundry organization and adjacency to both front and side entry doors, the rear kitchen with deck access, the private/rear master bedroom, and central living room. The stairway wraps the fireplace to reach the second floor.

PLAN DESCRIPTION & WALKING TOUR
Based on the classic ‘Craftsman’ low-slung bungalow, the Sheridan stretches out with a generous porch along the sidewalk. Upstairs, a loft-space looks over the street with a forward-facing gable, greeting the neighborhood with it’s form.
Arriving by foot takes you up the front steps to the front door - a beautiful wood door with matching sidelights and a heavy, well-crafted handle. Entering takes you to the vestibule, where you’ll hang up your coat or step over to the adjoining mud room. Arriving by car takes you up the driveway to the side door, opening directly to the mud room area and adjacent laundry.
The main living space places the sitting/living areas at the center, with the back anchored by a large kitchen that can be configured with an island or peninsula. and the front providing a nook for the dining or homework table.
Tucked in the back corner is the Master suite, with walk-in closet and adjoining ensuite bath - which can be configured with one or two sinks.
A central stair wraps the fireplace to the second level, arriving upstairs at a shared loft space. From here, two bedrooms and a bathroom are easily reached.
If you’re building in areas of the country with basements, you’ll happily find further space for workshop, storage, and leisure spaces.
